1010 Main Street East MiltonL9T 6H7

Target Completion Date: December 31, 2025

What is this project about?

The Tech Hub at the Sherwood Branch of Milton Public Library (MPL) is an innovative project designed to provide accessible and cutting-edge technology resources to the community. The primary goal is to bridge the digital divide by offering residents access to a variety of technological tools and programs that foster digital literacy, creativity, and innovation. The Tech Hub will feature equipment such as 3D printers, virtual reality headsets, coding kits, and multimedia production software. These resources will empower users of all ages to develop technical skills, explore emerging technologies, and engage in hands-on learning.

This project aims to support a wide range of community needs, from enhancing employability skills through technical workshops and training, to encouraging STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) learning for students, and providing creative outlets for hobbyists and entrepreneurs. The Tech Hub will also offer specialized programs for underrepresented groups, such as seniors and newcomers, ensuring equitable access to technology and fostering digital inclusion. Ultimately, this project will position the Sherwood Branch as a leading center for innovation and lifelong learning in the Milton community
